If the Bronx is the place where Hip-Hop was born, surely Queens is the borough where Hip-Hop grew up and learned her swagger. But if you think that its production of great emcees is its only contribution to American Art then you are sadly mistaken. Queens has laid foundation for so many expressions of culture and we encourage you to dive right on in and experience all that this community has to offer.

One of the most exciting offerings this summer is the HUSH Hip-Hop Tours that takes you to monumental places in Queens that have developed the lives of some of rap musics biggest stars and most incredible businessmen. The tour is conducted by radio charting rappers, they show just how rappers like 50 Cent, LL Cool J, NAS, RUNDMC and others got started.

If that is not your cup of tea, you can always  check out open mics at the Afrikan Poetry Theatre, the Louis Armstrong Museum or the amazing Shakespeare offerings at the Queens Theatre in the Park. From boom bap to bebop, the musicality of Queens will keep you dancing this summer.
