LaGuardia Community College is the best place to think globally and act locally. Whether it is in creating a piece of software or writing a play, understanding how to do calculus or understanding how to do physical therapy, students at LaGuardia Community College bring a world’s perspective to their studies.
LaGuardia Community College is the doorway through which students pass to many more achievements. Whether students use their research experience in National Science Foundation labs to become scientists, their co-op internship in accounting to secure a great job while they complete their CPA, their musical experience to compose great jazz, or their work with a local high tech industry to become an entrepreneur, LaGuardia graduates are well prepared to face the challenges of our complex world.

Hillcrest is a progressive, standards-driven school with a proactive approach that prepares all of our students to meet the N.Y.S. Standards and Regents Diploma Requirement. At Hillcrest, you will find a commitment to excellence, innovative instructional approaches, a diverse student body and educational community, along with an active and supportive parent body, who are focused on building the skills of our students to embrace high standards.
The Hillcrest Theatre Institute is a four year program for high school students who wish to study the many aspects of the performing arts. We believe that the classroom and our fully equipped stage is only one place to learn the art and craft of acting. Students study acting, scenery design and construction, script writing, directing and choreography, vocal music and make-up/costume design. Our students are encouraged to go to professional auditions, to seek out agent representation and to get involved with community theatre. Students have the opportunity to see Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, work with and learn from professional actors and writers, and attend workshops in Manhattan and Queens.
