Impact Broadway Goes Green Initiative
Impact Broadway Year Three 2011-2012 will include a “Green Theater Initiative,” building upon a special educational presentation from the current season facilitated by The Movement Theater Company. Impact Broadway Goes Green will encourage students to follow environmental guidelines for “Green” theatrical experiences, including paperless productions, using public transportation, and supporting theater projects which use ecologically-friendly set design and staging. Through presentations and discussions with professionals, students will be introduced to, and assist in, the creation and implementation of green practices in theater. A more in depth program is being developed for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year.
