Isisara Bey
ISISARA BEY is Vice President of Programs & Education for Count Me In For Women’s Economic Independence, and “journey agent” for its signature Make Mine a Million $ Business competitions, 1-Day Business Intensives and conference workshops, domestically and internationally. She designed and leads the Count Me In Leadership Institute and supervises other CMI educational program initiatives including its webinar series and regional MeetUps for women entrepreneurs.
Prior to joining CMI in September 2007, she was Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Sony Music Entertainment, directing the company’s corporate philanthropy, strategic non-profit, government and community relations and popular employee enhancement activities.
As part of the Sony Music’s government affairs team, she served on the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation board, helped form the Congressional Tri-Caucus, a consortium of the Congressional Black, Hispanic and Asian & Pacific Islander Caucus members and produced the first two Congressional Tri-Caucus retreats. In the arts, she fostered successful public/private partnerships between Sony Music and the Rhythm & Blues Foundation, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company and National Book Foundation and served on their boards.

Internally, she initiated and directed Affinity Groups for the company’s African-American, Asian and Latino employees, and was a founding member of the Sony Music Diversity Council. She also produced the long-running Sony Music Symposium & Cultural Events series. She has a distinctive track record combining a uniquely innovative philanthropic vision, excellent presentation skills with best in class execution on a range of sophisticated projects and special events.
Isisara has a Bachelor’s in Theater and a Master’s in Media. She is also a certified workshop facilitator with the Empowerment Institute which specializes in the methodology of empowerment and transformative leadership. Isisara resides in Harlem, New York with her teenage daughter, Makara.
