Judine Summerville

Judine is the creator and founder of the first motivational speaking dance fitness movement, BRIDGES IN RHYTHM. This movement educates, inspires and empowers underserved youth around the country through the performing arts with a spotlight on dance. All the while planting seeds of courage, self-love, respect, self-esteem, discipline, self-confidence, joy and hope.

She is a Broadway performer and was part of the original cast and singing trio sensation The Dynamites, in the Tony Award winning musical Hairspray. Other Broadway credits include: ON THE TOWN, THE LIFE , CRAZY FOR YOU, and LATE NITE COMIC. National Tours: Barry Manilow’s COPACABANA and JEKYLL and HYDE. Television appearances include: MTV’s.. MADE, THE TODAY SHOW, THE VIEW, JUDGE HATCHETT, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, THE CBS EARLY SHOW, THE TONIGHT SHOW with JAY LENO, THE ROSIE O’DONNELL SHOW, THE LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, LATE NIGHT with CONAN O’BRIEN, THE VH1 VOGUE AWARDS,THE RICKI LAKE SHOW, THE TONY AWARDS, THE JERRY LEWIS TELETHON,THE MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE, and THE NEW YORK STOCK EXCHANGE.

Special Events include: Former Rockette at Radio City Music Hall, Performing on the Red Carpet at the Grammy Awards, Anthem singer at Madison Square Garden, F. Lammot Belin Arts Scholarship-First dancer to ever receive the award in it’s 45 year history, also presenter at Canyon Ranch Spa in Tucson, Arizona.

While performing in HAIRSPRAY, Judine was the recipient of the prestigious Gypsy Robe, awarded to the ensemble member who has performed in the most Broadway musicals. She is honored to be a part of an amazing group of “GYPIES” who have received this honor as well- GWEN VERDON, CHITA RIVERA, DONNA McKECHNIE, ADRIAN BAILEY, DANA MOORE AND JOANNE HUNTER.

Judine has been invited to work on such innovative projects as: MEMPHIS..INSPIRE CHANGE, IMPACT BROADWAY, FIDELITY FUTURESTAGE, and MEET THE ARTIST SCHOOL SERIES at LINCOLN CENTER.
